sketchbook, gouache presents...

it's been a lil bit since I last posted here, here's what I've been up to!

first there was some sketchbooking...

I started watching 'Twin Peaks' and also I've seen every episode of Law & Order ever, so I decided to take a shot at some portraits...

I went back to some black and white stuff for a little

Then text started getting involved...

Then I decided to bust out the gouache, which led to a new love in my life

At some point I started adding some frames around things, which feels pretty exciting.  There's something self referential and voyeuristic to it.  Some of these are Christmas presents for people, I'm a little sad to let them go.

And then there was this painting of an abstracted kid wearing a hat playing outside.  I kinda like it.
